Editorial note

 

The Scientific Papers, Series A, Agronomy (ISSN 1222-5339) edited by the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, has published continuously to volume no. 52 (LII) in the year 2009. 
 
Approaching a wide area of scientific topics, the Scientific Papers have contributed to improved research in the fields of agriculture and technology transfer to agricultural units, developing scientific investigation and partnerships which have resulted in favourable effects upon the teaching process.
 
Since 2001, the Journal has undergone significant change both in form and content, as it has allowed teaching staff and researchers, PhD, MSc and undergraduate students, as well as service product specialists to promote and confer greater value upon the results of their scientific creation in the fields of agronomy, forestry and biology, with a particular focus on extremely actual issues, both in Europe and worldwide: rational agricultural land use, soil conservation, sustainable agriculture, alternative farming systems, modern and best crop technologies employed by agricultural units to increase economic efficiency and the quality of life, including by environmental protection and biodiversity conservation.      
 
The members of the Editorial Board and scientific reviewers, renowned personalities in the field of expertise, have brought their contribution to the continuous improvement of the scientific quality in the published materials.    

The Scientific Papers. Series A. Agronomy is highly appreciated in Romania, Europe and worldwide, as it has been requested and distributed in over 80 institutions.
